•The first world war and the second world war made various changes in the working plans.
•The working plans were stopped and the forest department could cut trees freely to meet British war needs.
•The Dutch just before the Japanese occupied the region, followed scorched earth policy destroying sawmills and burning huge piles of teak wood.
•The Indonesia forest department got it difficult to get wood.
•These working plans were opposed both in India as well as Java.
