She liked the teaching in the schools of the village where they taught about religion and the gods.
She didn't like that school does not teach a thing about religion which according to her was the most important thing.

In the city, the author was sent to the English school where they taught the author English words and little things of Western Science , the law of gravity, Archimedes ' principle etc. This made her unhappy. She was distressed that there was no teaching about God and the scriptures.
