Says the author, but I'm pretty sure that that's not the right rason as it feels so wrong... The right answer is that he liked Portia more than Antonio's wife.... But the actual problem here is that Antonio is not even married, not does he have kids, nor the ability for that... He is a female and not a HE ... She is Antonio...
