helen was charged of plagiarism as her story the frost king was similar to that of margaret t canby's the frost fairies. hence everybody thought that helen had copied from the authors story as both were strikingly similar.

helen though never accepted that she was guilty as it was her own story. but then it occured to ms sulivan that one of the maids must have read the book to her a while back.
