Helen Keller admired Bishop Brooks especially after the explanation he had given on the "Fatherhood of God". In one of her letters Keller says, ""I think he writes it even upon the walls of the great house of nature which we live in, that he is our Father." This also indicates that Keller was a deeply religious person. Her understanding of God stems from Bishop Brooks interpretation. She was already impressed by Hans Christian Anderson, Oliver Wendell Holmes etc. However, Bishop Brooks interpretation of God was central to Keller's religious faith.
