Because he wanted to bring youth power under his control,(use it for his advantage) and train them according as per his convenience

Hitler was interested in youth because he believed that youth of today are future of tomorrow. Means they would rule the Germany in future. So to keep Germany developing or to keep the mentality of Hitler going on he was interested in youth.
