India Ocean named after our country because:-
- India has the longest coastline on the Indian Ocean.
- India has a central location between east and west Asia.
- India's Southernmost extensive Deccan Peninsular protrudes into India Ocean that makes it significant to international trade done through Indian Ocean.
- No other country has a long coastline on the Indian Ocean as India has.
