Why was indian constitution implemented on 26 January 1950

The constitution of india was already adopted on 26th Nov 1949(we celebrate it as law day today).

But all its provisions were adopted on 26th Jan 1950 in order to honour the purna swaraj pledge which was taken at the lahore congress on 26th Jan 1930. THIS DAY IS CELEBRATED AS REPUBLIC DAY.

In 1929 at Lahore session of congress , it had been decided to celebrate 26 January 1930 as the independence day since the actual independence took place on 15 August 1947 , they decided to honour that historic day of 26 January as equally important day I.e. republic day.
