It is because the British has drained away our Indian Economy. De-Industrialization (i.e., Ruin of Artisans and Indian Craftsmen). It has created an impact in the traditional livelihood of the people. The peasants became the ultimate sufferer under the triple burden of the Government, Zamindar and the money lenders. Agriculture was also affected.
