Kezia was a shy little girl. She always feared her father as he would speak to her harshly and punish her. She made constant attempts in pleasing him but they all failed. One day her grandmother told her to gift him a pin cushion for his birthday. She stitched three sides but didn’t know what to stuff it with. So she ended up tearing up a huge stack of paper which she found in her mother’s bedroom. Little did she know, that those sheets of paper were her fathers great speech for the port authority. When Kezia’s father found out about this, he was furious and beat her with a ruler.
Kezia often stuttered while speaking to her father since she was afraid of saying something wrong. This unhealthy relationship between Kezia and her father resulted in her fear of being trapped, which would reflect upon her, in her nightmares.
Kezia was a sensitive child and her father had a short temper. He believed in strict discipline. He often had a stern look on his face and did not show any love and affection towards his daughter. Kezia innocence resulted in getting her beaten up by her father. This is why Kezia was afraid of her father.
