Lencho became angry when he received the letter because he was only given 70 pesos when he had asked for 100 pesos. He thought that god would not deny him his wish and hence concluded that someone at the post office must have stolen the money before delivering it to him.

he got only 70 pesos instead of 100 pesos.
he thought that the postmaster stole the balance 30 pesos. that's why he got angry..
