Maddie was not able to concentrate on her work after Miss Mason read the note from Wanda's father.She had a sick feeling in the stomach .It was true that she didn't peggy asking Wanda how many dresses she had in her closet but she had not done anything about it.She had stood silently and that made her a coward.Maddie realised that Peggy was being mean.Maddie felt that she should have put herself in Wanda's shoes as she was also poor and should have not allowed them to unnecessary tease and make fun of Wanda.
