Maddie was very eager to meet wanda after listening to the letter in the class because the letter was from wandas father who listed about the fact that wanda was being teased for her name , so maddie thought that this was because of peggy and herself as she supported peggy and never told anything to defend wanda , then both peggy and maddie went boggin height in hope to meet wanda and might be able to stop her but they never did as wanda had already left for the city.
