Why was matham Gandhi know as bapu

Gandhi was called Bapu as he always cared for everyone like a father would care for his children. He showed love and care to the mankind having no prejudices to their religion, colour or creed. He later became Father of the nation as he was a guide to all Indians in the freedom struggle.
