Mrs. packletide's intention to shoot a tiger was to counter the fame ,honour and social recognition bestowed on Loona Bimberton by the press. She was jealously of Loona Bimberton which motivated her to shoot a tiger

Mrs Packletide wanted to shot the tiger because she wanted to overshow Mrs Loona Bimberton and wanted to prove that she more brave and smarter than her.
