After the death of Aurangzeb, Mughals power in India kept on declining till it became limited to Delhi. Bahadur Shah Zafar was a old ruler who did not have any courage to fight the mighty British army. The Mughal emperor had no financial strength and he was surviving on a pension by the East India company. The revolt involved Sikhs who had hostile relations with Mughals. Mughals still remembered the losses in the Battle of Plassey 1757. https://brainly.in/question/5333198
