Answer:

Answer is given below.

Explanation:

From 1324 to 1351 AD, Muhammad bin Tughlaq ruled as sultan. He committed numerous acts that caused him to become known as the Mad King.

One of the most contentious kings in Indian history, he succeeded his father, Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq. He was the only Delhi Sultan to have gotten a thorough education in literature, religion, and philosophy. Despite all of his accomplishments, he is known in Indian history as the clever idiot because he attempted a number of administrative changes, the majority of which failed for lack of planning and judgement.

1. Tughlaq kept a sizable army because he wanted to increase the size of his domain. He instructed his citizens to pay more taxes in order to maintain his large army.

2. Capital Transfer: He moved his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad in order to dominate the whole Indian Subcontinent. He gave the order for the entire city of Delhi, including the royal family and academics, poets, and musicians, to relocate to a new capital. Many people died as a result of the move. By the time travellers arrived at Daulatabad, Tughlaq had already made up his mind to leave the new capital and return to Delhi, his previous capital. It is thought that he wanted to relocate the capital as a defence against a Mongol invasion. The capital transfer strategy was a total failure.

Because of this, he is referred to as the Mad King and ridiculed whenever someone nowadays is referred to be Tughlaq.
