why was Nandu afraid of going near his brother and sisters

Nandu saw his brothers and sisters pulling each others tails. He thought, " I better not go near them. What if they fall on me? I am still small ". Thats why Nandu was afraid of going near his brother and sisters. He quietly went and stood near his mother.
