Narayan meghaji lokhande described as 'the father of indian workers movement ' because he fought for the the worker and gets some of the rights for the mill workers and those rights are as following :-

1. On every sunday there will be a weekly holiday for the workers

2. In the afternoon there should be half hour recess for the workers

3. The mill should be starting working from 6:30 am to sunset

4. The salaries of the workers should be given by the 15th of every month
