Nehru Letters between Nehru and India's ambassador in the US shed light on his stand that while India was “certainly entitled to a permanent seat in the security council," it would be dangerous for this to come at the cost of ChinaNehru had some utopian Ideas for India. After the Non- alignment movement, he wanted to make a mark for himself in the International arena.

Little did he knew that the world which he was seeing from his own way was completely different. He respected Chinese strength and supremacy in the South-east Asia.
