nelson Mandela was imprisoned for his constant oppression towards then existing Apartheid system followed by the white britishers who imposed a harsh public segregation on the native blacks . since the existing british government did not allow criticism in their functioning , mandela was arrested by the britishers and was sent into the dreadful Robben Islands .
