gandhiji thought non cooperation a powerful method  of resistance because the british rules our nation only with the help of indiansso if this bondage is broken,definetly the british would move back.this movement was started by quitting the honorary jobs ,quitting from government school and teachers resigning their jobsbut this didnot get effective because no other works other than british jobs were offered to indians.so this made them to rejoin in their jobs and hence the movement unfolded
