these is ur answer... 1) The Persian warriors didn't have a lot of equiment. The hoplites took advantage of this and the Greek hoplites were well equipped. The Persians lost a lot of manpower their army just wasn't working as it should in Greece.
2) Because the Persian army was so big they used a lot of food. A group of Persian ships provided the food. When a big part of the fleet was lost it was hard to stay in Greece because the troops ran out of supplies.
