Why was persome angry at her brother's attitude towards people ?

Persome is not as generous as her brother. She feels the people pretend to be sick in order to exploit her brother’s (Bishop’s) magnanimity. People want the Bishop to be near them and help them financially.

Persome was of very protective nature.She thought that people took undue advantage of the Bishop.The Bishop sold every household things to help others.She didn't like the Bishop to be generous to everyone .Persome always advises her brother,"Charity begins at home".She always advised the Bishop not to help anyone by selling their household belongings.
