Precious was lying in bed when they heard a thud from downstairs. they didnt know what this was, so naturally they would react in pure fear. Just when i was about to fall asleep, too, they thought with a groan. They knew they shouldnt be fearful. it was probably just their father going to get a glass of water or use the bathroom. But still, they couldnt help the increasing heart beat that the noise induced. then, they heard it. the soft pitter patter against the hallway floor. Those were footsteps. those were DEFINITELY footsteps. Oh dear... then their heart rate surly picked up as they heard the creaking of the door opening. not just any door... their door! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... Then the pitter patter continued, until something umped into their bed. They flinched in fear, then calmed down when they realized it was just their cat, snowy. That didnt explain the bump that came from downstairs, however...
