PRI stands for the Institutional Revolutionary Party of Mexico. The PRI held power in Mexico for almost 71 years. The tricks employed by this party that saw it be in power for this long period of time included tactics such as:
-Shifting of poll booths during voting and especially at the last minutes which made it difficult for the opposition voters to vote.
-Since they were the government, they forced many people into attending their meetings, especially government officials.
-Teachers in government schools persuaded and coerced parents to vote for the PRI
-The media aired mostly defaming news of the opposition while most of the time ignored them.
