RAZIA SULTANA:

• Razia Sultana was the daughter of Shamsuddin Iltutmish.

• Iltutmish nominated Razia Sultana as the next ruler of Delhi Sultanate.

• Razia Sultana avoided Purdah, dressed like a man, learnt warfare etc.

• She had all the qualities of a king who can rule a vast kingdom.

• But the only drawback she had was, being a woman.

• The proud Turkish nobles did not want a woman to rule them

• So, a consiparcy was created against Razia Sultana.

• Finally, she was murdered in 1240 AD near Kaithal.

• Razia Sultana was the first and last female ruler of Delhi in mediaeval India.

Razia Sultan was unable to rule the sultanate because she was a women. She did not ruled for long period. She has an all quality of Queen but people and her brothers were against her.
