The artificial selection has a role to play in the evolutionary stages. Humans have successfully used this concept, in developing certain varieties of food crops and vegetables, to suit their needs. For example, the different varieties of broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, kale etc. have been developed through the artificial selection process. The common ancestor here is the wild cabbage.

HellostudyFriend: Probably you have not understood my question. I want to know the reason as to why was there a need to develop the red cabbage, there is no such answer in your solution.
