why was reservation provided for certain castes in India

the reservation system was made to promote the backward classes like ob,BC,SC,st so that they don't think them inferior then the general castes..

reservation has been provided for certain caste because they were annoyd by upper caste in certain sectors. reservation will reserve certain seat in some council for the development of country.
