why was reservation provided for certain castes in India

The constitution makers were worried tht some weaker sections will nt be able to get equal rights in society nd can't stand in lok sabha elections. They may nt have enough resources like education , money nd power to stand . They decided of a special reserved constitution method . Some seats are reserved for SC nd ST in Lok sabha .
