Roopa witnessed her with her own eyes how kaki was forced to resort to search of scraps of food among dirty leaf plates like beggars . It made her realize heartlessness with which she and her husband treated her . Roopa acknowledged that it was Kaki's wealth that she gave to them , which allowed them to execute their son's wedding in such a lavish manner . Yet it was ame person who went hungry in all hustle bustle of wedding . To make matters worse she was humiliated before crowd and treated like an animal .
