In the lesson "The portrait of a lady", the grandmother of the narrator was distressed because of the childish behaviour that she showed on the previous day.
In the joy and excitement of the homecoming of her grandson, she called all the ladies of the neighbourhood, arranged a dilapidated drum, beat the drum along with the ladies and singed the "homecoming of the warriors" and danced to the tune till she was completely exhausted.
This enjoyment was surely good at one part but, it was equally bad as she was the one who had to suffer because of it later on. She was advised by the doctor to take a complete bed rest.
