why was shifting eultiuation considered harmful for the forest

It is a type of agricultural in which people cut some part of forest and burnt it. Then they sow seed in Ash of burnt forest.

It is harmful for us because it causes forest fire, deforestation e.t.c

because in shifting cultivation, all the trees ,bushes are cleared by cutting them and when the soil become less fertile they move to another place and cut that trees.it is known as juming in India.
