In November 1927, the British government appointed the Simon Commission to report on India's constitutional progress for introducing constitutional reforms, as promised. The Commission was strongly opposed by many in India.

In 1928, British sent lord Simon to decide indias political Future.

It was boycotted as it did not even have a single Indian in it
