Because all the commitments of life are over and every man in that age is ready to love nature and its magic. A person gains a lot of worldly experience by then. He says that games played in childhood have no practical value in the later years of life. It is only the mature, old age that gives man, worldly experience and wisdom in life.
Hope it helps
