Why was slavery so important to the prosperity of France? How was it reflected in the drafting of the Constitutions?

When the national assembly were busy at drafting the constitution , France had a plantation for the commercial business , when there is the strike of the assembly most of the labours and workers went to form association . This makes a large loss to the plantation . so, triangular slavery was held on France to repay this loss. slaves from America are sent in boats in the sea route.
