The states Reorganisation Commision was formed because after the 1947 Independence there were a lot of problems going around the country. Kings who ruled over the cities were left to decide whether they want to be independent or become a part of republic india by the British. Hence, India required something to help bring the states together and form the Indipendent India that we have today.
