'Netaji' means 'Respected Leader'. As he fought for the independence of India, he was a well known and respected leader, and thus, the name 'Netaji'. As the Japanese were deeply inspired by his strong will power, he is also well respected in Japan.

Netaji means RESPECTED LEADER. He was been respected by people all over the world. That's why he was known as NETAJI. Unfortunately he do not got the chance to see the INDEPENDENT INDIA.
