Thanappa was the postman in the town of Malgudi. He used to deliver letters to the town people. Also, he was very concerned and genuine in nature. He was very lively in nature. He used to become part of the families as he used to sit for hours with them. Also, he used to give pieces of advice and suggestions to the families which made him a lively and very likable person in the town.
