Answer:

The battle of Buxar (1764) was fought because of the misuse of Dastak, Farman and expansion of trade by English and treating of English and Indian merchants alike by the Mir Qasim, the Nawab of Bengal.

The Comapany defeated the Triple alliance of Mir Qasim, Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II and Shuja-ud-Daula of Awadh.

The battle of Buxar made Company the undisputed ruler of Bengal and it paved the foundation of British rule in India. It is thus said that while the Battle of Plassey made Company the ruler of Bengal, the Battle of Buxar made it, the ruler of whole India.
