Why was the behrmen's last painting known as the masterpiece ( the last leaf)

Well Behrman had been trying to draw a masterpiece for years. But he had never drawn one. There was a canvas which was waiting to get the first touch of drawing. He had never painted anything. A masterpiece is one which cost a person's lifetime. Thus he painyed the last leaf just for making Johnsy more confident that she would live. Thus the last leaf whivh he drew made johnsy come back to her life and it was considered as his masterpiece. Thus this picture was his lifetime achievement.

behram's last painting "the last leaf" was known as a masterpiece because johnsy can't even recognize that it was a painting.. she thought it was the original one. so she too get the hope of living and she became fit again.. and in other hand old behram dies with the same disease which johnsy get cured off!!
