Lord Harding was the Viceroy during the time of annulment of the partition of Bengal. A darbar was held in Delhi in December 1911, to celebrate King George V coronation. In this Darbar, the British withdraw the Bengal division order due to the growing Bengali nationalism and the shifting of provincial capital to Kolkata. Hence, the British government annulled the partition of Bengal by reuniting both the parts of Bengal.
