From The Diary of Anne Frank. Why Anne said, "Our entire class is quaking in its boots."? She said so because everybody in her class feared the forthcoming meeting of the teachers that would make it clear that who would pass and who would fail.

- Anne's entire class was anxious and nervous since their teachers were having a meeting. There they were to decide who would be promoted to the next class and who would be detained. So, her entire class was quaking in its boots.
