Because when he was live he use to live in his castle and enjoy all comforts of life , and was unaware of sadness , he spends his hole life happily . When his statue was made he saw that there are many people's who are suffering from hunger and cold .

He was unhappy as the citizens of the country were living a stressfull and unhappy life. He was extremely hurt to see his citizens suffering of many sorts without a helping hand. He wished he could help them, and bring a joyous vibe in the city. As soon as the Prince met the swallow, he was able to fulfill his wish of making the city a happy place.
