Why was the Hindu college established in Banaras?

This school had run under graduation classes as a loaner forBanaras Hindu University which was founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and was still under construction. The charge of the Central Hindu College was handed over to the HinduUniversity Society on 27 November 1915..
