The Khilafat movement in India got full majority support by the help of mahatma gandhi ji who started it as a non cooperation movement against the British India government in the year 1920 AD. The leaders from Khilafat movement and the Indian national Congress came together and formed a tough yet strong alliance to support each other against the British raj.
