league of nation was formed to prevent the future wars after the first world war.it was established on 20 January ,1920.but this league failed.the motive behind its formation were as follow:

1)- to maintain international peace and security and promote international relationship

2)-to promote material and intellectual development of the other countries

3)-to formulate the methods to for the checking of advancement of harmful weapons

4)-to preserve the territorial intergity.
