Hey Friend,

1. Muslim League

There was a huge communal tension India during the British rule. This leaded to the formation of the Muslim League. The league raised the demand for Pakistan in 1930. Jinnah put forth the two nation theory in 1940 at Lahore session. Ultimately, all the efforts led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947.

The plus point here was that India, even though smaller in size, but became a country with strong centre. If it wasn't partitioned, then due to communal riots, the centre would have been weak.

2. Lucknow Pact -

It forged unity between two factions of the Congress and also between Hindus and Muslims.
The unity pressurized the British to introduce reforms.
The British promised development of self-government institutions in India.

Hope it helps!
