The Non-cooperation movement was withdrawn because of the Chauri Chaura incident. Although he had stopped the national revolt single-handedly, on 10 March 1922, Gandhi was arrested. ... But many historians and Indian leaders of the time also defended Gandhi's judgment.

Non Cooperation Movement ( 1920)

the Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi decided to start on non cooperation movement which was non violent women it was decided that number one should co-operate with the government.
