The offer given by Lord Irwin of the dominion status has been rejected by the congress because the government has rejected the Nehru report and the simon commision has also been appointed by the government despite of his Boycott by the political parties and also by the peoples. Also, In the Lahore session of the Indian National Congress, under the presenndship of the Jawahar lal Nehru, the demands of the congress has been changed from dominion status to the complete independence.
